now now, don't pay all the attention to damon because there's another midnight massacre in our clutches, and that's zee. she just so happens to have been slashing for fourteen years. although they may seem a bit sketchy, they're totally female. you could say they've had mucho experience at their misery business. *cough cough* exactly two or three years... my memory's not that great. . you may have noticed they impersonate Eric Bently, Karlee Cliche, and Marissa Kent too. but, they're best at playing themselves! :]]
neato 'name player !
makes you sound like royalty
babe, i've been checking you out for thirty-three. that dude has been living under the name of Damon Alexander Thorne, but you can call her Professor, or Professor Thorne. he's totally off limits though 'cause he's from Los Angeles. this dope player has been working through their parol by becoming a history teacher. they came into this god forsaken world on February the eighth, and ever since they've been charming the the ladies whoot! have they had a handful!
you're 'kinda cute!
makes you look like a model
dudee 'the hair! Naturally, our buddy Damon's hair is dark brown and straight. It probably hasn't been exactly that way since birth. Oftentimes, it's a tad greasy. That's either from all the gel he uses to style it, or 'cause he forgot to shower (>u<).Damon can be seen sporting a new hairstyle once a month. Sometimes, it's just down. Sometimes, it's dyed. Sometimes it's got a matching beard. Or it could be a
oh em gee, those eyes! It could be said that our guy friend here has the sexiest eyes on the face of the planet. They're technically blue, but that means all kinds of different days. In some lighting, they might appear deep blue. In other lighting, they might appear such an icy blue, they're almost gray. And sometimes, there's a ring of green or brown (or both) around his pupil.
geez, look at those tats! He doesn't have any tattoos or piercings. However, Damon does enjoy drawing glyphs on himself, the most popular of which are ₪, ø, III, and .o•. Put in a row, these glyphs represent the name of his favorite band (30 Seconds to Mars).
gawd, skinnyy...! Damon stands at exactly five feet and nine inches, weighing in around 140 lbs.
wowee, hott stuff!
He’s got dark brown hair. It is styled, but it’s the sort of style that doesn’t look like it’s styled. Only it is. If that didn’t make any sense, his hair is tousled, but I get the feeling that each lock was carefully placed. He’s got an angular face – high cheek bones and shallow cheeks, the cheeks growing a baby beard. It isn’t a full-out Jesus beard… only enough of a beard to cover his cheeks, chin, and the space between the bottom of his nose and his upper lip. The bulb of his nose is incredibly round. But all of these magnificent traits pale in comparison to his eyes.
They’re the color of the sea, with raging torrents of teal, silver, and sky blue. The kind of eyes a person could drown in. … The kind of eyes a person would want to drown in.
^^ so, that's kind of excerpt from a book Emmy's writing, but it is describing someone who looks like Jared, and I don't feel like writing. pass me pls?
you're 'okay nice!
makes you act like a therapist
i love! coffee, cocoa, chocolate, thunderstorms, walking barefoot, poetry, the color black, reading, candlelight, fire (lolpyro), watching shadows dance across the walls, slipping through crowds unnoticed, quietude, cold weather, the smell of parchment, guyliner (it adds to the whole, "dark and mysterious" persona), being feared, panic, chaos, darkness, playing guitar, singing/songwriting, making an entrance (when he feels like it)
eh, i hate! authority, government, following any kind of system, restrictions, being told what to do, anything related to that overrated pop-culture "phenomenon" Twilight, the mindless masses, making small-talk, daytime television, nighttime television, bottle blonds, young children, animals, diet food (really? give him some substance) bright colors (i.e. pink, yellow, orange, etc.), popular music, people who pretend to be something other than what they are, people who like stick like the world like in like between every like other word in like the sentence... like, excessive use of cell phones, text talk (he does miss the days when the English language consisted of complete words and sentences), people constantly tossing their hair (it's not just girls doing it anymore...), anything conventional (he likes to be different), wearing shoes
i always do that thing!clicking his tongue, quirking his eyebrow, staring into space
wow! you scared me! that Sarah Palin may one day become president, Disney Channel stars will be casted in every movie and television show, social etiquette will digress to the point where people walk the streets in their underwear
i wish i may, i wish i might! he wishes the American government would collaps and undergo serious reformation, people like Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Ashley Tisdale, Justin Beiber, Rhianna, Kesha, and any other imposters/wanna-bes would fall into a hole and die, and that people would learn to speak proper English
sweety, you don't know the half of it!
* free-spirited - If you haven't already figured this out, Damon likes to be his own person. He doesn't like being told what to do, how to act, what to wear, how to think, or what to believe. He didn't even like being told how to learn, which you'll find out about later.
* individualistic - Tying into the last personality trait, Damon doesn't like being like everyone else. He is his own person, regardless of what other people do, think, or say. He's the sort of person where if he doesn't like something, he'll say it. (You call it "hating on," he calls it "being honest.") On the other hand, if he likes something, he's not afraid to say it. Even if that mashes him in with a group, it doesn't change a thing. He still doesn't associate with the group - he just likes whatever it is they do.
* anal-retentive - If there is a crooked picture on the wall, Damon absolutely has to straighten it. He will go mad if he doesn't. His clothes are arranged alphabetically based on fabric type and, for each letter, by size. His CD selection is arranged by musical genre and, for each genre, by preference. And you thought your aunt Meredith was crazy.
* ADD - Damon has the shortest attention span in the world. No seriou-- BANANAS. Okay. That was an example. He gets bored with things so easily, it's not even funny. One minute, he'll be the best of friends with this one person. They'll be having this really in-depth conversation about their lives, musical tastes, and such. The next thing you know, Damon's out the door and down the street 'cause that guy was boring him. He's always eager to move on to something new, and if he's done everything, he'll sit and sulk and whine about not having anything to do.
* temperamental - In the immortal words of Mercer, "He's a loose cannon, sir." One minute, Damon can be totally mellow, chilled out, and quiet. The next, he could be dancing on a table, whooping at the top of his lungs. His mood can change in the blink of an eye, and there's no telling what he might do when it does. There's no pattern of behavior he follows (remember, he's not one for systems). He'll do whatever he feels like, without cause or forewarning. Chances are it won't be something he's done before anyway, just because repetition is boring.
* withdrawn - Relationships. Pleh. One more thing that leads to whining teenagers and broken humans. Growing close to people only leads a man into a world of hurt, as Damon very well knows. As such, he doesn't really "reach out." Sure, he'll act like a total idiot in front of some person, or act like he digs them just so he can watch them cry their eyes out when they find out he doesn't give a damn, but he doesn't make friends. Doesn't fall in love. Doesn't feel sorry for the less-fortunate. Couldn't care less about the dilapidated state of the planet. See what I mean? He's not much of a people person.
* intelligent - People think it's impossible to be smart without having finished high school. Hahaha... WRONG. Damon's full of random fun facts, which he can spit out any time he feels like. The thing is, the whole "school" structure didn't sit right with him. Everything he learned, he learned on his own. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain? Achilles? Vlad the Impaler? Countess Elisabeth Bathory? Yeah. He researched them all on his own time. He's an expert on Medieval torture. I wouldn't suggest bringing it up over dinner, unless you want to toss your cookies.
* destructive - Nothing has to set him off. For all anyone knows, he could be happy enough to start singing. There's just something in him that urges Damon to break things whenever he has a chance. Sometimes it's to release anger. Other times, it's because it looks fun. Damon has adopted the personal motto of "If it's not broken, break it."
* artistic - This might come from all the poetry reading, or it might come from having his sister raped and murdered, but Damon has been left a very deep, insightful person. He likes to express this any way he can. By now, Damon has mastered every common musical instrument. He can play piano, violin, guitar, trumpet, drums, bass, cello, keyboard, flute, saxophone, marimba, and... etc. He also sings, writes his own songs, writes poetry, and takes photographs in his free time. Most of the latter come out very creepy and leave you with more questions (like "what the hell is that?") than answers. Perhaps I should write another paragraph on how he's cryptic...
* sarcastic - Pfft. Damon's not sarcastic. Who told you that? Okay, okay. You got it out of me. He's very sarcastic. He likes to lay the sarcasm on thick whenever he can. Unfortunately, he's sarcastic so much of the time, it's hard to tell when to take him seriously (which, unless you want a detention, should be all the time).
* charming - As previously stated, Damon is not stupid. He knows he's got the intense, stormy eyes most people get lost in. He also knows how to treat people to get them to do what he wants. Or, sometimes, he just feels like being nice. He knows when to smirk, he knows when to bow his head, and he knows when to quirk an eyebrow to elicit a reaction, as well as what to say when.
* quiet - Granted this depends on his mood, but most of the time, he's quiet. It's not that Damon doesn't have a lot to say. It's just that he prefers to keep things to himself. He doesn't care what other people think of him, so what's the point of throwing something out there just so they can offer up their skewed views and bore him to death?
you're 'kinda messed up!

Robert Thorne, successfull actor
Anita Challenger - Thorne, Victoria's Secret angel
those little weasels!
Margret Thorne - younger sister by ten years
them relatives!
None
shedding little monsters!
None -- he doesn't have the time or energy to care for them
back in the day!
Damon was born in the City of Angels. His parents, Anita and Robert, were not married at the time he was conceived. To this day, Damon is not entirely sure whether Robert is actually his father. All he knows is Anita, the gorgeous blond barbie of her day, was at a V.I.P. party getting completely trashed when confronted by a handsome stranger. They got chatty, those two, and next thing you know, Anita's missing her period. But it all worked out okay, 'cause the gorgeous stranger hunted her down (stalker much? whatever. she obviously didn't care) and began to woo her. They courted for about six months before diving into the adventure of marriage. Three months later, Damon popped out. Anita and Robert definitely took things slow.
Fortunately for him, no one cared about that. It was Los Angeles. Nobody took anything slowly. As a matter of fact, it was surprising Anita and Robert bothered getting married. Damon was one of the few (the proud.. the marines...) whose parents were together, instead of the father being off in a different country while the mother blew all his money on expensive clothes and "boyfriends" for the night. To make matters stranger, Anita and Robert were both very present parents during Damon's youth. As it turns out, Robert was a fairly well-known actor, and Anita was the poster girl for Victoria Secret. In a business where looks are almost everything and talent has no meaning, you learn how to recognize beauty. Anita and Robert knew early on their son would be something of a looker. So what did they do? They forced him into movie roles, magazine advertisements... anything requiring a young baby. They were there every step of the way, talking to him in that annoying baby voice.
Around the age of three, Damon began thinking for himself, and decided he hated modeling. So he did what any ordinary toddler would do -- threw a tentrum. That was the end of his modeling career. Then he got to experience something even more stressful and terrifying: .... private school.
Anita was throwing one of her diva fits (pretty common in supermodels) and demanding "the best in education" for her little boy. She quote unquote "didn't want him mixed in with all the poor and ordinary children." So it was he was sent off to the School for the Rich and Snotty, a.k.a. Los Angeles School for Boys. To tell the truth, the former was a more fitting, original title. You'd think students who weren't any older than eight years would be polite and innocent. Not these boys. They all came from rich families, hung around with rich friends, and freaked if they got a smidge of dirt on their expensive, designer clothes. Damon used to roll around in the mud just to annoy them. It was then that he decided anything socially acceptable was a complete and total waste. He'd rather spend his time being the exact opposite of ever other boy in the school.
On his tenth Christmas (do the math), Damon received the best present anyone could ask for: a baby sister. Only, he didn't think she was so great. He thought she looked disgusting. What normal, healthy person had puffy red skin, little to no hair, and eyes so swollen, they couldn't stay open for more than a few seconds at a time? Margret looked like some tiny, sick alien in his mind. Thus he developed an aversion toward small children. Damon wanted nothing to do with his baby sister for the better part of her childhood. He couldn't bear to look at her. Every time she did, even if she was starting to get on in years, he had a flashback to that squirming baby. That, and his parents showered her with love and affection, especially his mother. Damon resented her for it. His parents were his first - not hers. The day Anita announced that Margret had a role as a baby actress in an upcoming movie, Damon nearly laughed. At last, Margret would be tortured for her accidental, not-really-her-fault-in-any-way affection-stealing.
But of course, Margret loved the attention. She always cooed and hammed it up whenever she was on camera, burrowing into her fake mother's chest and being a good little fake baby. She had an adoring fan-base of women who would visit the house just to see "Little Margie-Marg". Naturally, the boys at school found out about this, and started to pick on Damon for being the lesser of two siblings. Apparently, it was a huge insult to not be as famous as your younger sister for the sole fact that she was a girl. This was what finally pushed him over the edge. The next time one of the boys taunted Damon, Damon punched him square in the face. They ganged up on him then, all attacking at once. They thought they could take him, just because he was being slighted by his younger sister. That's why it came as a surprise when they showed up in the nurse's office less than fifteen minutes later. All of them were bruised and bleeding in various places. A couple had lost teeth, and one had a broken arm. That was Damon's last day at the Los Angeles School for Boys.
Years passed. Margret blossomed into a beautiful young girl while Damon bounced from private school to private school, beating up anyone who so much as looked at him funny. There were times he spent no more than his first day at one school, before being expelled and forcefully removed from the premises by police officers. By the time Damon turned fourteen, Anita and Robert had given up; it was apparent their dreams of Damon becoming a smart businessman (if he couldn't be an actor, he had to succeed at something else) would have to be achieved by means of a public education. They told Damon the upside to going to public school would be coming home every evening for dinner. Damon couldn't see how being forced to eat a meal with his parents and perfect little bitch of a sister was an upside. To him, attending public school was like visiting heaven.
It was perfect. Everyone was in the same boat. Most of the kids were too poor to afford television, or they didn't watch the right channels, so they had no idea who "Margret Thorne" was, or that her brother wasn't half as famous. Because of the way he dressed, no one suspected Damon came from a rich family. Therefore, the boys didn't pounce on him. As a matter of fact, they respected his quiet, tough nature. Some of them became what you might call "friends," inviting him to hang out after school or come over to their house to play video games. Damon politely refused the latter - he could see no point in wasting his brain playing shoot-'em-up games. The girls at the school were quite taken with him. He was something of a looker, and a surprising amount of girls are drawn to the dark, brooding type. Whenever he was in a good mood, he was polite and charming to them, pulling their chairs out or holding doors. When he was in a bad mood, Damon told them to fuck off. The latter proved counterproductive, though.
Spending time at home did a lot of good for Damon's relationship with his sister. He realized that, as a person, she wasn't that bad. As a matter of fact, she was awesome. Very fun-loving, easy-going, and always a straight talker. Within a month, they were inseparable. Every time his little sister had a bad dream, she would run into his room and curl up with him. Damon would talk to her until she fell asleep, and she wouldn't stir again until morning. The two continued to grow closer and all that mushy crap.
Upon entering high school, Damon decided it wasn't for him. Too many rules. PS, if you didn't already know.. hard classes are hard. He was sick of it. No one was cutting him any slack. They wrote him off a stupid just 'cause he couldn't copy notes as fast as it took a professor to blow through their lecture. As soon as he turned sixteen, he dropped out. Seeing as his parents had planned for him to make a living as a lawyer or some crazy shit, they were infuriated. So what did they do? They bloody kicked him out of the bloomin' house. (I r in British mode today...) Just to pay the bills, Damon started waiting tables. He also attended some auditions. He surprised himself by landing a lead role (though the movie was pretty low-budget and not expected to do very well) in a feature film. As it turned out, the film took off opening week. Damon was an overnight hit with the ladies.
Damon decided to keep acting, since he was good at it. He landed a couple other major movies, earned tons of money, and made sure to keep in touch with his little sister. He started picking her up from school. Fast forward a couple years, to Damon's twenties, and now his sister is a total babe. Damon was always there to chase away the weirdos that gravitated toward her. Not only did the guys have to go through Dad, they had to go through someone worse. Then, when Damon was twenty-six, something terrible happened that completely rocked the boat. Maggie was raped and murdered.
For months, Damon was inside-out. All he could do was drink, sleep, and cry. He locked himself in his room and did just that. Finally, when all his tears ran dry, Damon made a decision. He was going to pick up his broken pieces and make something of them. First, he re-took his SATs. Perfect score. Those scores, along with a handsome some of money (being a famous actor paid off in the end), earned him a place in a decent college, where he double-majored in history and education. He graduated with a degree in teaching and history. So it was only natural that he look for an open teaching position in a school somewhere. There was a school in Chicago in need of a history teacher, so that's where he ended up. While he entertains them, he never grows close to any of his students. Damon swore to himself when he lost his sister that he would never grow close to anyone again.
that girl makes me dizzy!
makes me yearn for tylenol
yeahh, i'm pretty hardcore!
Beeeeeep! Damon shook himself awake, throwing a blind punch through the air. His knuckle hit dead on, sending plastic shards and other machine parts splintering into the air. "Well damn," he muttered. "That's the third alarm clock this week." He really had to stop zoning out for hours at a time. But hey, when you had all of eternity to live and you couldn't sleep, you needed something to pass the hours between dawn and dusk. Picking himself up, Damon strode across his little crypt-type-thing, heading for the mini refrigerator. The mini-fridge was a good investment, he reflected. It kept his blood at a nice, chilled temperature. Smacking his lips, he pried the door open and took a quick inventory. Still seven bottles. There were wineglasses on the bottom shelf. Damon was weird - he liked to pretend he had some kind of class by drinking his blood in a sophisticated manner. He gingerly plucked up a glass, pinching it between two fingers. Then, in an exaggeratedly drunken manner, lifted one bottle of blood and poured its contents into the glass. A satisfied smirk graced his lips as he pressed the glass to it, letting the bottle slip from his fingers and shatter on the floor.
Multitasking was a fine talent Damon happened to blessed with. He ascended the stairs as he drank, soon finding himself swinging wide the door - and the only thing separating him from the rushing night air. Oh, the air. It was heavy with the scent of blood, and not only that which lay in his glass. There was warm blood... fresh blood. Not human blood... not exactly. Something more powerful, but not quite demon. Curious, Damon lumbered forth from his crypt, listening. There were sounds from a brawl. It wasn't a struggle, as it was short and the victor made quick work of his or her opponent. Damon's curiosity peaked. Fresh prey - nae; fresh, dangerous prey - had ventured into his domain. He followed the noise, and the blood, to a particular circle of graves, arriving just in time to see one of his vampire brethren explode in a cloud of ash. The youth responsible still crouched over the site. Her hair was an obviously artificial shade of red, and she was wrapped up in long sleeves, despite the spring weather. This was a fashion choice Damon personally agreed with. He thought scarves were fashionable all year round - hence his wearing of one at present.
False red - as Damon would address his companion in his mind - stood to dust herself off, a smile pricking at her mouth. Like she was proud of her previous accomplishment. Did she not know this was the land of slayers? Vampires were dusted left and right. It was nothing out of the ordinary -- and nothing to be proud of. Even normal townspeople were killing vamps nowadays. Piff. No more than a few years ago, the slaying of vampires was considered an art form. Drawing himself from his musings, Damon offered false red a sarcastic slow clap. "That was beautiful," he quipped in a drunken drawl, then proceeding to take another sip from his glass. Inspiration struck. Damon had the sudden urge to act like a drunken Brit. Picturing Russel Brand, he strode toward false red with the occasional stumble, his free arm sweeping in front of him. "Will you be here all week, or was that your only performance?" Being in the acting business had its advantages - such as being able to pull of a British accent with the ease and authenticity of a native. Switching to Johnny Depp now. Schizophrenic pirate who acted drunk, but was secretly brilliant. Damon froze a good yard from the girl, his features arranging themselves in the most severe expression he could muster. "But not a slayer, are you?" It wasn't a serious question. Damon already knew the answer. He sidestepped slowly, cautiously. "Curious."
