Aiden Cole Furey[[seventeen, junior, loner]]
FULL NAME;; Aiden Cole Furey
NICKNAMES;; Loser, ‘Lorcan’
GENDER;; Male
DATE OF BIRTH;; August 13th
AGE;; seventeen
HOMETOWN;; Breckenridge, North Dakota
ETHINICITY;; Caucasian
GRADE;; eleventh
FACE CLAIM;; Alex McKee
EYES;; Aiden’s eyes are deep and understanding. The ocean blue color in the shadows can glow bright in the sun and hit a silvery-blue hue. Look into his eyes and you’ll feel like they’re looking into your soul.
NOSE;; Aiden’s nose is long and straight, and much like his brother’s slightly overpowering on his face. It is most definitely the most prominent aspect upon his chisled features.
HAIR;; Hair in the darkest black sits atop Aiden’s head. It juts past his ears and when he lets it grow just past his chin. The black locks grow in and stay straight, and most of the time ends up in his eyes, which he secretly loves.
FACE IN GENERAL;; Aiden is quite certainly appealing even if his nose is overlarge. Surprisingly everything fits together in a way that probably wouldn’t have worked if he had an average nose. He has a strong chin and sharp eyes that see more than other people realize. Most of the time black hair hangs in the way of those blue eyes. Sometimes he pushes them out of the way but most of the time he leaves them be and drops his head as he doesn’t like making eye contact.
BODY IN GENERAL;; Aiden has a slim figure. He’s not buff and ridiculously bulky but he’s toned enough to not be flabby. Mostly it’s his metabolism, and the fact that he doesn’t eat very often. He doesn’t really work out but when his twin Lorcan joined fencing he had been obligated to join as well, just as Falon was. This keeps him fit in his arms and legs, as in he is muscled to a small degree. He stands at 6’1” and seems to be a hair taller than his brother. He slouches a lot and bows his head low, however. This makes it seem like he’s overpowered by Lorcan, who uses that as an intimidation.
Aiden stands in a posture of very obvious doubt of self confidence. His eyes hold the deepest intellect, yet they’re rarely seen and expressed. His long hair seems to cover the beauty of his face when he pleases, and he is often seen with a hood up over his head to keep others from really noticing or recognizing his face. Mostly he keeps his face down because his twin brother is quite popular, making him recognized but wrongly so. Annoyed at such things he tries to stay far from others. It’s really not that hard for him, so it’s a good thing he is so.
Aiden keeps a very conservative appearance. He normally wears a black hoodie and jeans of varying brands. He usually sticks to two to three pairs of shoes, his favorite being black skater shoes with faded dark gray skulls. He has a few band t-shirts and some sarcastic sayings beared across his chest. Most people don’t notice him as he seems average unless he speaks to them, which he rarely does. Clothes usually mean little to him other than covering him up and keeping him warm. He’s not a fan of the cold.
PERSONALITY;; Aiden grew up opposing his brother. Hated for conforming Lorcan’s natural individuality by sharing looks the two brothers were always at odds. Whatever Lorcan liked Aiden had to hate or otherwise get in fights with Lorcan, which was something Aiden hated. He was always a quiet boy, not exactly afraid of his own shadow but he kept to himself most of the time. He liked being left alone. People were assholes all the time, liers; fakers; two-faced pieces of crap. He didn’t care for befriending such people.[/blockquote]
Other than his obvious lack of attention, Aiden most definitely ended up being pretty damn smart. Unnoticed, this boy grew up reading biographies, fiction, nonfiction; if it had words he read it. When he was seriously bored he’d even read his textbooks, which ended up helping him immensely with school work. When he wasn’t reading he danced. Hard to believe it, from a reclusive boy like Aiden. But inside, he was proud to dance. He enjoyed it profusely and always kept him calm after fights with Lorcan, who incidentally kept his dancing a secret as he loved not only dancing but singing too, just didn’t do a good job of it.
Hate burns within Aiden more often than not. His brother, obsessed at all times with girls and Fae, picked on him because he was sweet and innocent. He wanted to read nursery rhymes while Lorcan played sports and beat up the boys talking to Fae. Hell, Lorcan was even jealous when Fae talked to Aiden! The young man rarely laughs, the only exception being books with lots of joking or movies(comedies). He’d never dated a girl before mostly because he doesn’t trust them. Not only that, but no one had ever interested him either. How could they, always falling for his brother? No one wanted to date the nerdy but sweet boy. Nobody even saw him. Often he gets jealous of Lorcan, what with all the girls following him and the amazing fencing skills. The hardest thing for him was to watch Lorcan and Falon together. The love between brother and sister was unbreakable, but somehow - though Aiden blames himself - Aiden was excluded, and in some points despised.
LIKES;; Reading, Dancing, Fencing, Walking around town, Building computers, His freedom, Punk/Rock music, His dog, Horror movies, Snakes.
DISLIKES;; Lorcan, Sports, Big groups of people, birthday parties, Cats, Heat, Television, Traveling, Getting embarrassed, People, Sleeping.
HABITS;; Never looks people in eye, Moves his hands and can‘t sit still when nervous, Eats Swedish fish like they‘re crack - has to actually limit himself, Stays up late but still wakes up early(Crashes on weekends, sometimes sleeping through the whole forty-eight hours), undereats(faints on occasion).
FLAWS;; Isn‘t into girls because he‘s afraid of them, Too nice; people end up walking on him, Stutters uncontrollably, Has no friends, Doesn‘t care about himself.
SECRETS;; Actually wants to be noticed; but not for being Lorcan‘s twin, An amazing dancer, Is claustrophobic to the point of paralysis.
STRENGTHS;; All academics(scholarships everywhere/has a future), Honestly good/nice person, Can handle serious/freak-out situations.
WEAKNESSES;; Can‘t talk well, Too fearful of the cruelty of people, Misunderstands good intentions and thinks the worst(and usually incorrect) feelings toward himself.

BACKGROUND STORY;;
**crappy I know but at least I’m trying!**
Aiden’s birth occurred twelve minutes after Lorcan at 5:44 am on August 13th. Of course this note was something Lorcan would never forget and never missed an opportunity to remind Aiden. Even when the two were babies they didn’t like being around each other; set in the same crib, both would cry; same baby cage they would start hitting on each other, though obviously Lorcan won; baths together would end in splashing until crying once more bubbled up out of the two-year-olds.
His parents, hippies and high school sweethearts, worked in café's and random temp jobs, always changing the job when a position opened up. They were vegan animal rights activists, and they cared for their children deeply. Every morning would be spent playing counting/spelling games and on evenings they would either stargaze, watch the lava lamps dance, watch late night tv or something of the like. Just a year after Lorcan and Aiden - twins but different from the start - another child came along: Falon. Lorcan took to Fae like a fat kid to donuts. Unfortunately, this put Aiden and Lorcan even farther apart. Now not only did Lorcan and Aiden hate each other, but Lorcan constantly thought Aiden was being mean to Falon. He would always protect her, even when Aiden would watch jealously as everyone babied Fae and ignored him, then would get mad at her for ‘no good reason’.
Confused by the anger between their twin boys, Margaret and Kyle Furey kept pushing the boys closer, ultimately running a jagged tear through the family. Broke and run ragged, Margaret and Kyle were both offered a job in a corporate company - a permanent position for each - in *CITY* around the same time and even as they were against conforming they needed the money for the children. They accepted the jobs, moved everything, and traded their hippie beads for business suits; lava lamps for fancy flourescent lighting; the beat-up VW bug for a gas-guzzling Hummer. Busy with work and making money, the children were paid less attention to. They were sent to daycares where they were forced to eat meat and dairy. Poor Aiden was beside himself when Kyle and Margaret went to work and was dumped in daycare. He refused the meat and dairy products they gave him, earning him many timeouts, and was saddened as he was used to being with Margaret and Kyle, even when Lorcan had to be there. Life became all the more difficult for him.
Aiden, a quiet boy who loved to study and learn new things, ended up turning wimpy from being beaten up by all the other kids. He always secretly wished his brother Lorcan would stand up for him but was unfortunately denied as quite a few times it was Lorcan beating him. It was rough for Aiden, growing up from pre-K all the way through elementary just being the dorky nerd people didn’t like talking to and always being beaten up by Lorcan for stupid reasons as Fae watched unbothered. He became resentful and pulled himself inward, blocking out all things other than school and the very little attention he received from his parents.
Once the kids hit Middle School little Aiden’s life barely changed. School got harder, but the young boy was a genius in the making and understood it all without difficulty. He kept his head down and didn’t bother with making friends or talking to people. Sometimes it seemed like he was the opposite of Lorcan but that was obviously wrong since they’re actually quite alike. The only real difference is Aiden is shy and Lorcan is loud. And a perv. And…Well, a lot of things. The biggest difference is that Aiden saw how much Lorcan loved Fae and realized once and for all he would never be loved in the same way by Lorcan. The realization almost killed young Aiden, but he learned to be strong.
Just after he graduated from Middle School his parents were promoted to CEO and had to move once more, landing them in Lumini High School. Determined to keep from being beaten up all the time Aiden decided to hide his nerdiness - although he never dressed it the books and the honors/AP classes kind of gave it away - from the world and just keep to himself. He prayed no one would bully him around, save his twin who would never in a million years stop beating him as it caused a particular enjoyment he could gain from no where else, and went around school as a loner. Things weren’t exactly great, but they were better than before and he sure as hell was happy for the change in pace - e.g. the lack of beatings from random ‘jocks’ - and looked forward to school more than ever. Although his idiotic twin had gotten a huge reputation as a hot manwhore and poor Aiden was constantly mistaken by girls who readily punished him for sleeping with him then dumping them even when he did nothing wrong it felt like for the first time things just might be better. You know, money doesn’t solve everything. It sure didn’t for Aiden.
ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE;;Lorcan rolled over in his fourposter. His mind was far from the present; his mind was caught up in a whirlwind of home. His mom, screaming at him over some stupid letter; his brother laughing at his face and shoving him around; his dad looking down on him in disappointment. He moaned softly and continued to tangle himself in the blankets. He remembered the day he got sorted as if it were yesterday: the hat sat upon him. Before even a moment had passed the hat called out Griffindor. He remember his face falling, and his heart dropping to his stomach. He could just see his mom crying and his dad... His dad, who would stop talking to him for months on end all because the hat didn't think he was worthy of Slytherin.
"No..." Lorcan whimpered. "Not again..." his mom was saying he was nothing, that he didn't deserve to be a Furey. Rooming with mudbloods?! she sniped through a howler he had to open during breakfast. How dare you get sorted into Griffindor! Don't expect another letter from us you worthless child. GRIFFINDOR! with a pop the letter had exploded, drawing even more attention to poor red-faced Lorcan. It was his first day as a Griffindor and he could remember running out of the great hall with tears streaming down his eyes. The Griffindor, sweat pouring from his pores, started writhing in the blankets, trying to wake himself up, for it had to be a dream. He moved too far to the edge of the bed and landed with a loud whump on the floor. He jerked awake.
Instead of feeling better, Lorcan felt even worse--all of it happened. Every memory, every howler... They all were real. And no matter how far he ran, he couldn't get away from it. He sighed and started to untangle himself from the sheets. He dropped the sheets onto the bed once he was free and slumped down on the bed. He couldn't sleep now that his mind was filled with family. He sighed and got off of his bed and dug through his chest for some shoes and a pair of pants. He pulled out a worn pair of blue jeans and slipped them on, hopping from one foot to the next respectively. He then pulled on his converse with some effort and laced them up - they were knee-highs. As an afterthought he threw on his favorite gray checkered/starred hoodie and grabbed his wand. Traipsing quietly past his roommates and down the stairs into the common room.
The common room was unsurprisingly empty. He didn't try being quiet as he wound his way around the tables and chairs strewn about. Once through the portrait hole - and of course ignoring the fat lady griping about being bothered so late in the night - he pulled out his wand and whispered, "lumos." The tip lit up with an unwavering white light and he headed down the staircase of the tower and into the empty corridor it led to. Taking a long-memorized path through the corridors, he made his way to the grand staircase, where he half consciously descended the staircases one by one. Finally reaching the ground floor he headed toward the looming door that would lead him out of the castle. Before he could get there, however, he noticed something; a lantern flickered in the distance. He strained his ears, trying to pick up the voices.
FILCH! Lorcan's mind screamed once he deduced that the grumbling coming from before him was in fact the caretaker. "Knox," he whispered, watching as his wand went out. Unfortunately the lantern's movement stopped and was turned toward him, as he could see the form of Filch. "Who's there?" the caretaker called. Afraid to get into trouble, the Griffindor turned to his right, where a door stood half open, and slipped through the crack opening. He carefully shut the door on Filch's voice and turned to see a staircase. Curious, he descended the stairs and found himself in the dungeon. His curiosity leaked quickly from him. This is where I should be sleeping. he thought to himself. He sighed, but he knew he couldn't go back upstairs, not with filch looking for him. To keep himself busy and away from getting caught, he began to walk down the dank corridors built with stones and green-glowing sconces. At least he wasn't dreaming anymore...
